I own switch only for legal reason to be fair to nintendo and to give them deserved money but switch itself feels like less powerful "special" cousin of vita, if not for wiiu i would say its worst console ever created. You can play with a keyboard and it even goes above and beyond by making menus clickable with the mouse, something a lot of console ports miss. I rather play with setting or wait for fix and enjoy games like bayonetta in 60FPS and 3-4k resolution and good sharpening to boot so my eyes don't bleed every second. Im late to the party I know but I bought Bayonetta yesterday and it keeps freezing, although I can still hear the audio and even play (I finished the fight blind). The PC port for the game is excellent, not sure how it will run on your current system however.

Bayonetta 1 also seems quite hard to mod overall, or at least, there doesn't seem. Games made exclusively for switch are amazing but hardware is outdated by about 20 years right now, its overclocked gamecube as far as im concerned. Also, Bayonetta in 3 has a different skeletal structure and almost every animation is different to the first two games, both to accommodate the movesets of all the new weapons which don't have any equivalents in Bayo 1 but also accommodate demon slave/masquerade. That aside, its almost 2023 playing anything on swith is crime, 420p sub 30FPS, terrible textures etc. Messing with setting etc is just part of emulator and pc experience, nothing new. Thankfully, the emulation scene for Nintendo platforms is the best, so eventually it wont be much of a problem. I'm a 32yo senior citizen, and literally can't mash fast enough for the Jeanne counters anymore, so I use a config to add a turbo button for QTEs.Your hardware and attitude are issues here, no one in right mind expect emulation to be perfect especially day one, that said modern emulators are so bare bones it takes just few seconds to check all options to see if it works or not. That aside though, PC is the version I'll stick with, and my reason for doing so is that Steam is kinda the "forever platform," y'know? Between reliable usability when I upgrade my PC and cloud saves, I'll never have to start the game on a fresh save ever again, and still have the most modernized experience, which is a nice feeling. Not so much that it was unplayable, but it was a bit annoying. When I click play, it loads up in a white window then immediately minimizes itself.

They didnt release a bad, 720p port at full 60, without cloud saving, and no denuvo. Gotta support companies when they do it right.
